Teacher Training 2016

Our work experience placement this year was Claire Keady from St Angelas College, Sligo.  She worked with us for four weeks, taking classes in cooking and sewing.  The students benefited from all her teaching, making delicious meals and cakes and creating some beautiful pieces of needlework.  The staff too enjoyed the treats of cake and cookies etc. Claire was a great asset to our team and we hope she gained some valuable experience and knowledge in working with smaller groups and encouraging our students all the way. We miss you Clare.

Every year we accept work experience placements here in Youthreach.  We all benefit from having people sharing their multiple talents and joining the family here in our Centre.  We are glad to say all people on placement have told us they were sad to leave, so we like to hear that our Centre is a happy place to be.

Here are some pics of our recent classes with our temporary staff member.
